Advent is the period of four Sundays and weeks before Christmas (or sometimes from the 1st December to Christmas Day!).  Advent means ‘Coming’ in Latin.  Christians make use of the four Sundays and weeks to prepare and remember the real meaning of Christmas.

1^st  Sunday 29 November – Hope

2^nd Sunday 6 December – Faith

3^rd  Sunday 15 December – Joy

4^th Sunday 20 December – Peace

Christmas day – Love
